As someone who isn’t a woodworker, but enjoys having things that make me happy- if you like the design and it makes you happy, go for it. You have nothing to lose but time, and if you learn something in the process (i.e. those tricky looking joints you mentioned) then you are ahead no matter what.

You’re question sounds like you are running the wires. They make numbered stickers specifically for marking long pulls of wire so you don’t have to test them. If you like the supernatural/demon ones, check out The Autopsy of Jane Doe. I loved it, the tension is absolutely perfect and a fantastic cast to boot.

I see being facetious is lost. Yes I know they don’t use a lot of space, however, they do package all their own dependencies. That means you do end up with duplicates.
