True. During the most recent heat wave a few days ago, I spent one day working from home where I use a lot of passive cooling measures, keeping the temperature down to below 24°C, and one day in the office where the air got so bad that we had to open the windows so that temperatures rose to 28°C.

It’s just 4°C more, but my productivity, motivation and concentration plummeted hard. It’s a entirety different game.

If I only did stuff when I’m motivated to do it, I don’t think I would get anything done ever.

But why so complicated? Why not have everybody pay the same (percentage) for elder care and reward parents with more child support (Kindergeld)? Rewards are an easier sell politically than penalties. That would be way less controversial.

Bin kinderlos, werde das auch bleiben, und sehe ein, dass wir stärker belastet werden als Menschen mit Kindern. Ich würde mir aber eine einfachere Regelung wünschen. D.h. Beitrag zur Pflegeversicherung ist erstmal möglichst einfach und für alle derselbe Anteil. Die Menschen mit Kindern bekommen dann aber Geld über das Kindergeld zurück. Dann ist es eher eine finanzielle Belohnung fürs Kinder Großziehen als eine Strafe für Kinderlosigkeit, auch wenn es finanziell am Ende aufs selbe hinausläuft. Stelle mir vor, dass es das für die Pflegeversicherung deutlich einfacher macht.

I’ve recently learned that they have a scale to rate peoples’ beauty, which I absolutely love. Gone are the days of rating people from 1 to 10, the looksmaxxing scale looks like this:

Truecel < Normie < Chad/Stacy < Adam/Eve

There are also levels in-between like Chadlite between Normie and Chad. Depending on whom you ask, they will also use Gigachad for someone between Chad and Adam. Or True Adam for someone above Adam.

This trend is really stupid, but I love this scale because it’s hilarious.
