Is there something wrong with StoryGraph? I thought they were generally considered the next best thing but I feel like on Lemmy they get less mentions than BookWyrm (for example).

“Besser” als NetGuard? Wenn du die Zeit hast, kannst du mir kurz erklären wie Tracker Control funktioniert?

I was hoping you were joking since you didn’t add a source but … yeah, it seems to be true :(

Aw man :(

Danke dir!

It’s weird.

I have quite a bit of experience under my belt, but I’ve never studied anything in the SysAdmin field; so now they asked me to do the certificate in the first month of my new job so I have something on paper that says that I have experience.

Even my immediate supervisor thinks it’s stupid, but the higher-ups wanted it that way.

Thanks!

I found those resources as well, but the (English language) video courses for LPIC-1 are rare and/or quite old (which reflects in the ratings); I think just learn better with videos, which is why I was asking for video courses.

Thanks again :)

Thanks, I know about about the PDFs which is why I was asking about videos specifically as I think I study better with videos.

The problem is - as has been stated in this thread - that real world knowledge is only a part of these tests; even as someone whose a SysAdmin might have to study for those tests and „brushing up“ might not be enough.

Thanks again :)

Thanks for sharing this! The fact that this can run on the Steam Deck makes me happy :D Hope I find the time to set this up over the weekend.

Then you’ve probably never really thought about what pedophilia actually means. My partner works with pedophiles in a clinical setting and there’s way more people with pedophile tendencies than you’d think (or at least than I thought). Most of them realise it’s a problem early on and seek help, some live in shame for most of their lives and only a tiny percentage actually does something to kids. Obviously, this shouldn’t happen at all (!!) but saying „all pedophiles should be removed from society“ is no solution to anything. Just to be sure: I have no idea what the ladybird-guy said about this topic, nor do I know who he is (or even what Ladybird is. I now know it’s a Browser, but that’s it).

Danke fürs Verlinken; habs mal auf die „zu lesen“ Liste gepackt und vergesse es hoffentlich nicht xD

whoops, sorry, for some reason I didn’t see it on Desktop :/

Bin seit Ewigkeiten bei Manitu. Preismodell ist gut, 1-Click-Wordpress-Installation ist auch gut :)

Could you use a Chipolo for that?

It seems like they changed their line up a while ago but they still have their own app to use with their location trackers!

It’s Schleswig-Holstein (a german state) and they’re pretty serious about it (they want to fully move to Open Source / Linux in the next three months)

I’m not quite sure what you’re saying here? That’s the one they released in 2024 (?), not the one they’re going to release.

The small battery is an annoying choice, but since they’re including two touchpads, this might finally be a replacement for my Steam Deck.

Thanks for posting this!
