  • This. I worked in a call centre for a while. Service was not the priority, speed was. I got in trouble for staying on the line to actually resolve a customer’s issue because it took a long time (basically ended up having to do a conference call with the third party who had fucked up). I left that job ASAP because fuck that.

  • In descending order of good privacy:

    • Tor (not necessary for the majority of use-cases)
    • Hardened Firefox (you can find tutorials for this with a quick Google)
    • Mullvad
    • Librewolf
    • Brave (yes there’s controversy about crypto and the founder being a dick, it’s still miles better than Chrome)
    • Everything else
    • Chrome itself (seriously, don’t use Chrome)

My number 1 recommended plugin for privacy and getting rid of ads is always ✨ uBlock Origin ✨ (not uBlock, that’s not the one by the OG dev).

  • I don’t have kids and I don’t plan to, but instead of all the smart crap in cars, why don’t car manufacturers put some kind of car seat detection in? Like a little alarm that plays if you walk away from your car with a baby or child in it?

They can tell if someone’s in a seat without their seatbelt, they should be able to work out a way to detect car seats too. This is 100% preventable.

Hell, not even car manufacturers. If someone made a Hackathon-type event where the goal was to make the best baby alert system, I’m sure there’s at least one smart person out there who could crack this.
