When I was in highschool I had a girl go on and on about how much she loved Star Wars. I was into Star Trek and thought she was trying to annoy me. After graduation I he friends told me she was into me and wanted to hang out.

I had a different girl ask me to teach her D&D. I invited her and one of my friendliest players over and proceeded to run a simple session. She didn’t seem to want to learn the rules but kept asking me questions and listening to me intently. She basically ignored the other player. I finished that session super confused. Later she asked me to come to her house to see her new bikini top and it all clicked.

My needs changed. When I was a child I had an intense need to master new skills and show them off. Video games could meet that need in a way school never could. As an adult I can completely fill those needs with work so I have no interest in those sorts of games. Now I play games to be entertained and delighted. If I want challenge I’ll put that energy towards earning a bigger bonus for Q4.

I’m in the USA and it’s totally easy not to use Amazon. The first step is buying less shit though and people are pretty addicted to buying crap they don’t need.

I’m the US many stores like Best Buy and Home Depot will price match Amazon.

Depending on the situation it can be fun to ask, “A female what?” Try to get them to say human.

Garlands inability to execute the duties of his current job don’t indicate to me he would have been a inadequate as a Justice. It’s a different job with different duties and by all indications he would have likely performed fine.

I have at least one friend who won’t vote anymore because of that. He’d rather the US get Trump and despair than give the DNC the satisfaction of another vote. I’ve tried to convince him.

Some really unlucky people peak at 14 but for the vast majority the peak will hit in their early thirties. For those who prioritize sleep, play, and socializing that peak is a plateau until about 50.

When I’m in my gravel biking group it’s very much the opposite. The dudes will slide down 20 ft of gravel and their legs look like someone took a cheese grater to them. They have a laugh, hop back on the bike, and finish the ride with blood in their shoes. The ladies generally take a little spill and loose a little skin and they are crying and want help walking their bike back to the car. (Some chicks are hard as nails though.)

Nah. We need legal protection to separate content creators and distributiors. Creator’s license content. Laws could mandate all distributors get access to the same pricing. Then you pick the distribution platform you enjoy.

Distributors compete for users with features and curation.

No exclusive rights. No studio running a streaming platform. No streaming platform starting up studios. None of this anticompetitive lock-in.
