Translation: We need to keep prices artificially high because the stupid American public is going to pay it anyways. We need to fuck them over as hard as possible because they have no self respect and get mad at anyone who does.

Wow! This actually makes a lot of sense to me and it’s something I’ve been concerned about myself for awhile.

Not with these Thermos bottles specifically, but putting soda in a water bottle and opening the cap has resulted in several explosions for me. I’ve started being very careful with it, as even the thin plastic bottle cap seems like it could do a lot of damage to eyes with how it explodes off. I can only imagine what one of these bigger caps are like.

Hopefully the people who have been injured from this get enough compensation so they never have to work again. I’m sure there are some people making millions of dollars per year off of the Thermos brand that can stand to make a little bit 🤏 less.

What I do wonder is why people who don’t like it need to remind everyone they don’t on any Gnome thread.

Because if people aren’t vocal about their opinions then they get drowned out by those who are.

If all everyone saw was “gnome is good” but never “gnome is bad,” then we can expect other DEs to start copying the bad ideas gnome has because they never see criticism of it.
