Very cool! You made it :)
Who gets the payment? Immich or futo? Does futo own immich now?
Yes. I trust and support KDE
Better ways to upload images to immich?
Maybe it’s a weird idea but did you try immich’s upload feature?
Thank you! It worked
I skipped a lot in the middle/bottom. I was mainly looking for what the main PG maintainers wrote. Mull isn’t a new app. There was a big discussion around it in autumn and over the years as well. Including mull was mostly carefully thought through, like it was when brave got a recommendation. The voices were loud after brave was added. For me, there’s no risk in using mull and I’m glad that it’s recognized as a good browser although the “risk” title should just be a “warning” instead.
That issue is closed and the description is rewritten but mull stays https://github.com/privacyguides/privacyguides.org/commit/1ce99410188a6af7a1cbe578ac072e83f77edd2d
It’s now written as if it was dangerous to use mull which isn’t but it’s better than not recommending it at all. Mull is a great browser even though it’s missing per site process isolation. It just doesn’t pose a threat to most people.
Missing this feature likely won’t pose an issue for low-risk web browsers who keep their browser up-to-date …
I’ll check it out, thx
Which docker compose file to use?
This one has a weird image source https://github.com/mealie-recipes/mealie/blob/mealie-next/docker/docker-compose.dev.yml
And this one expects me to build the container locally first which sounds like a dev version although the other file is named dev https://github.com/mealie-recipes/mealie/blob/mealie-next/docker/docker-compose.yml
Cool! You don’t need a server specifically for that, a room is enough. Just create an account on a reliable server and create the room. Most big rooms are on matrix.org in my experience, unless it’s some of the big projects from mozilla, gnome or kde but even openstreetmap are on matrix.org
Matrix 👍🏻
I understand your reasoning. And I understand it for old projects, matrix wasn’t an option 5 or 10 years ago. Almost all modern public projects are on matrix nowadays. Someone said it already, there are also bridges and matrix doesn’t excludr anyone.

Edit: make sure to check out the different styles otherwise it may look outdated
Looks cool. Why discord and not matrix?
Xmpp is old and has no traction. Matrix is new and there are many people believing in it. There is a lot of money put on matrix. A lot of people want matrix to succeed. Especially companies, agencies and governments love matrix. Jumping on a train that already moves forward is easier than trying to push a standing train.
With xmpp, or signal I’ve got all my messages on my device. Distributing the info to other devices is difficult. With matrix everything sits on the server and distributes the info to the clients. That’s like my file cloud, or my photo cloud or my music server, or my document server. Everything is saved centrally on a server and all is independent of the consumer device. I can use multiple devices and everything sits on the server. That’s great for me as a user, it’s easy.
Xmpp is scattered which is great on one hand but matrix development is moving very fast. Xmpp can’t compete with that.
What’s the advantage of xmpp over signal for the end user?
The datbase files were saved in an internal docker directory and the breaking change is that the location is now different, outside of docker.
KDE and GNOME have that built in. You can add it via webdav to nautilus or gnome-files
