Sometimes I watch those american police bodycam videos, and somehow in the end the charges often include “assaulting police officers”. Since I’ve never seen it happen in the videos I always wonder if they just add it to the charge list like sprinkles, because charges stack up (meaning more jail time) and also what is the perpetrator going to do about it?

I think the amount of people installing apks is just a tiny, tiny fraction of Android users. Most people I know just use the play store or don’t even know about apks. My old phone doesn’t get updates anymore so I think I am safe for now, but my next phone will run GrapheneOS on either a Pixel or a Motorola.

Ljubljana is great, I spent about a week there for vacation some years ago. Beautiful and compact historic city, with bars and cafes right at the river. I loved visiting the castle for sunset and biking through the city and it’s hilly surroundings. I have to go there sometime again.

Yes pretty much, it’s a quite common fall activity here. Mostly families or seniors doing it, and I’ve never directly talked to someone about it, but I don’t think anyone would honestly think about poisoness or magic mushrooms (maybe jokingly ask about it).

How about using just the chat feature or maybe watching her friends stories and posts, instead of doom scrolling reels from strangers? It’s not hard myself. But perhaps it’s harder if you spend your entire day on your phone hopping between various doom scroll brainrot apps.

Es war kein Mord, denn es geschah wohl nicht unter Vorsatz. Deshalb ist es kein Mörder sondern eher ein fahrlässiger Töter.
I hope they don’t forget about loopholes like: removing all the multiplayer content and replace it with an offline “mini game” (could be as simple as pressing a single button). There, we “updated” our game just before it’s end of life, and it’s now “playable forever”. Or what about CS:2 which simply replaced CS:GO, because Valve didn’t want to release a game with limited content to compete with their older title. The CS:GO version is still playable offline via beta branch, but only offline afaik.
Es erstaunt mich immer wieder, wie viele Nintendo-Fans sich einfach wie Dreck behandeln lassen, aber Hauptsache sie können das neue Mario XY Spiel spielen. Bei anti-consumer Praktiken ist Nintendo ganz weit vorne dabei. Und wenn ich ein Spiel von so einer Firma noch so toll fände, ich würde es lassen, oder vielleicht maximal emulieren.

Das Problem betrifft halt auch Transporte von nahezu allen Konsumgütern. Das wird also auch zu steigenden Kosten für alles andere führen (und wenn nicht durch die Ölkosten, dann halt einfach nur so weil sie es können).
