Ah doesn’t matter. Dont use windows. Use a pi and something like LibreELEC or even you can run debloated android on it with the TV interface and a remote. Just get a BT remote or an IR receiver plug into the usb port. Either of them are pretty cheap

They won’t cuz customers are accustomed these days with all the bells and whistles that are bundled with modern TVs. Also, investors want “innovation”. This is kinda same as AIs getting integrated into toasters, washing machines etc. Mainstrram consumers don’t care about privacy. Heck most consumers use their default shitty ISP provided router and don’t even change the default username and password. This is thr harsh truth. Even now, most consumers choose convenience over privacy

This is how literally every mainstream OSes work unfortunately. Even Windows does the same with telemetry

Unfortunately no generic ones are safe. All run sketchy services under the hood. If you want android then go for google tv streamer. Else fire tv but that has its own fair share of issues. The best is apple tv but that requires you to have an iPhone. Last option is raspberry pi with LibreElec or you can even run android on it with the TV UI and everything

This would’ve worked just a few years back but due to shitty “age verification” laws, even TV manufacturers willl force users to create an account the very least for the TV to even start up. They may also implement an always-online model and they’ll justify that it’s necessary to monitor users for “age verification purposes”. ATP better to get a good monitor and use it as TV cuz cable or satellite boxes are either way gonna be provided by the network companies so that’s there

Unfortunately these days TVs are stubborn. They refuse to work without an account or so in many cases. Best is to put them on a different VLAN and allowing the bare minimum

Yes true. Also, the processor they put inside even on the highest end TVs are a joke. Slow af. This is one of the reasons why many opt for an Apple TV or a Fire TV or any good Android box just because they are so much faster

Yeah even I do the same for any app other than onedrive

Imessage or Telegram??

No matter if you get hired by nepotism or talent, literally every company uses some form of backup solutions. That’s a different issue if they work or not but yeah, in an IT job, you’ll encounter Backup Systems or at the very least some form of git (self hosted or public github). Using AI without monitoring it that too with 0 backups is totally on him

Unlikely cuz almost everybody everywhere is blaming the guy in charge of it and lack of backups

Who’s gonna vet the Vetter
What’s next? Cheese contaminated with fecal bacteria or smth idk

To make matters worse, that guy is apparently a “former IT professional”. Irony much?

Yeah that’s why I’m debating brave. Firefox is good to especially after the huge engine overhaul a few years ago.

Edge will soon follow. They announced it. Polly will switch to helium or brave

Gonna be ironical if the threat actors use grok for the automated attacks

Then why do they have the word “buy” on the PS store🤨
You CAN do this with a few products of diff companies with the help of home assistant and plugins BUT many companies are pulling off support OR restricting features to its own app and giving free access to the bare minimum voa protocols like matter and all. I read somewhere on reddit that a robovac company had matter access technically but only the vac on off switch access was there and none of the other basic functions. For that you need their app. But again, still some companies do support all it’s features on home assistant. Many light fixtures, switches, ACs and much more support it. So yes you can run them locally BUT it all depends on the manufacturer how much control they are willing to provide openly
