These are sadly, the kind of people who will never learn because they lack the capacity for self-reflection, and more importantly, self-change. Knowing you need to change isn’t half as hard as actually putting in the effort to change.

Had this for the first time recently. Can confirm. This was exactly my experience.

• Breaking into the capitol building during a presidential certification of votes the people made in an attempt to subvert the will of the people with their coup, with plans to kidnap and kill certain democratic leaders that went against the will of trump.
• Attempting to run Biden’s campaign vehicles off the road in Texas which was done primarily by off duty police and deputies.
• Going to BLM protests so they can intentionally shoot protestors and black people
• Blocking all entrances and exits from Canada to the US to protest the Biden-era COVID-19 mandates which caused billions of dollars in damage
• I’ve personally had my car vandalized when I had a Biden sticker on it, someone put an “INFOWARS” sticker over it and keyed the back quarter panel/trunk
• etc.

They don’t have a base of operations. They’re an idea, not an actual organization.

And that idea is full of stupid and hate.

It has nothing to do with liking/disliking bikes and everything to do with the toxic masculinity culture of “conquering” a hill, or trail, or just in general being more in the “bro” culture that does tend to attract more magats than other hobbies I’ve picked up.

There’s a nontrivial number of mtn bikers that are in the maga crowd, and the only link I can find is that this tends to attract a lot of people similar to the Andrew Tates of the world.
