Bane of my life as about a year ago my dad switched his sim and immediately started pestering me about not being able to log into his accounts.

Yes he got rid of the old number completly and expected me to somehow make his logins work. This is still going on to this day when he complains to me something doesn’t work it’s because he’s tied it to his old phone number.

Its pretty much Gen X who grew up programming their own games on Amigas and things like that, Milleniums grew up with iPads and game consoles.

When Gen X dies off I’d say the world’s going to have a lot less being fixed all round unless AI gets a lot better.

Years ago I made a chatbot for Yahoo chat that I wanted to learn from watching chatrooms, it was basically a really primitive version of llms but programmed badly in vb6 because I wasn’t that great (everything programming was self learned) . I later went into Delphi a bit but yeah it was all for my own dodgy ideas (trojans, irc bots, password crackers and similar lame ideas I suspect most programmer have tried but never admit to)

But yeah it analysed sentences and could respond in kind due to chats it had seen the trouble was after about 2 days it became very very slow and basically useless due it’s database file growing.

I kinda feel llms now are just the same thing but with huge resources chucked at them.

I’ve never had even a single Facebook account, to explain why it’s because the UK police once tried to stitch me up and they kept demanding my Facebook account (presumably to fish) I never had one but they would not let that go.

Once I got representation that line of questioning ended but holy hell did they seem to put a lot of emphasis on my non existent Facebook account.

For the curious I was raided due to an anonymous phone (to the mayor’s office) call that claimed I was going to shoot up my workplace or something ridiculous.

My belief is the police wanted to impress the mayor so they just wouldn’t let it go despite being nonsense until I paid representation to make them behave.

My only advice is avoid Jabra they are seriously overpriced for the quality, I also had Sony and they were very good but the batteries went to garbage in about 2 years.

None if something doesn’t give me a decent speed in a minute or so I delete it and look for alternatives.

Same way Huawei kept adding great new features that somehow Samsung then got a year later, yet according to all of Reddit Huawei were the filthy copiers.

I’m white UK but yeah smartphones have gone horribly since Huawei stopped “copying”.

I’m actually quite happy with mine I don’t think it’s shown me a single ad, the only nuisance is it doesn’t stay connected to my WiFi and only joins when I launch an app or something.

Its a Toshiba with Vidaa Os I think, not saying it’s perfect it has all the UK channel apps but not Stremio which I would like it to have.

That said it hasn’t done a single thing ad wise to annoy me unlike my firetv cube.

Not claiming it’s the best film ever just I enjoyed it for what it was really, just think people are being very harsh in that comparison.

I quite liked Kraven but all I see of it online is comparisons of which is worst that or Madam Web.

My belief is if you went to the past your actions would fully effect the future, no branches or anything else of course this will create paradoxes but if your a time traveller you will still exist even if you prevent your birth, if then you go back to the future there will be no record of your existence.

I’m done with streaming it only really worked when there was one, now they’ve saturated it to the degree it’s pointless. Not only that but they keep raising prices for a worse service and now they have all went ad crazy on top of it.

I see no benifit to subscribing to any of them I’d rather watch free to air stuff if I have to see ads, and for anything else I’ll hoist the black flag since I’d likely need about 10 subscriptions otherwise.

I made a 4 word reply a couple of days ago there and somehow it got over 14k upvotes, I think that’s why I keep posting there it’s rare but every now and again something you wouldn’t expect rockets up your karma. It’s kinda addictive.

Probably Freelancer it’s going to sound weird because supposedly the Elite/X games are better, but I’ve honestly never enjoyed them as much as I liked Freelancer.

Basically flying about in a ship, doing missions and upgrading weapons etc until you can buy a better ship, online was fun as well.

So yeah Id like them to reboot it.
