  • Lots of American still not realizing they’re just going for another cycle of what brought Trump into power. Dems lost because they were just that bad.

You’re so far in it that you need a litteral revolution to go forward. But I doubt you have what it takes yet. Not today but hope will be for tomorrow, which people gotta start to build now.

Anyway whether it’s reps or dems, they will eventually bring you to war and use you as fodder, because capitalism is in crisis and it will only get worse. At some point war will be the best economic option, and in your country economy is valued above human life so it’s bound to happen. All they will need then is a moral excuse or an unfortunate event.

  • I’d say it could be a way to do that technically. Counting on laws to take a measure that would appear as “objective” will reduce the benefits, because some will try and manage to circumvent the law, not appear as rich etc. And who makes law right now anyway ?

The more direct approach is to say “no more someone can own such an amount of things, thereby now the society will own everything human made and its benefits evenly shared. We start by taking back from the richest that profitted off people’s work.”

This way, it’s easy to understand and bears little flaw, it’s easier to defend too because you can sum it up with just “equality”. The rich can live the same life as everyone else.

I know USA is far from being close to decide that, and that is part of for reasons the rich fight for.

  • You’re mistaking me I guess. I’m not blaming ai, I would even be fine with linux maintainers using ai tools, as assistant, not as vibe tools. Even though I know people dislike even just the idea.

I’m blaming cybersecurity people and corps to make a big deal out of every single CVE. They’ll use AI tools to search breaches and no one will say anything. But dare a maintainer touch IA and then it’s hell on earth.

Most of the time, the CVEs are irrelevant to any real life situation. It’s not a bad thing these get fixed, but in the end stories get inflated that softwares are not protected, and cybersecurity gets into big success story talks, thinking they contributed to something when really they mostly waste people time.
