Humanity will not survive. Intelligence is a pathogen. Given every point you made, even if we survive the worst wars we can imagine, it would only start over again. NOBODY makes it through the great filter. Hopefully the planet will still be habitable after we are gone.

Intelligence is a pathogen. Wherever it develops in the universe, it rapidly spreads and consumes everything, wiping out most other life forms and eventually itself. It has probably developed over and over again over time all over the universe including our own galaxy. It may be relatively rare, but there would still be millions of instances. The fact that we have found no evidence of intelligent life elsewhere is not because it doesn’t exist or is too far away, but because we have missed the band of detectable transmissions from these societies that existed closer to us. There will be others, but we may be gone by then. We should definitely not be working to spread to other worlds. We should perish here from our own behaviors as we are meant to.

10·2 months agoIf the strategy of the party under investigation is to hide evidence, shouldn’t they just be assumed to be guilty? The burden of proof is on the accuser, but if the accused hides or destroys evidence, I think that should forfeit their assumed innocence. If withholding and or destruction of evidence can be proved, then the accused party should be assumed to be guilty.
Just one nation can derail everything? How can that be? It’s so fucking easy to bribe just one!!! They need to fix that…
20·2 months agoI’ll wait. The phone screen is too fucking small and the sound is a joke. Phones are for memes and shit. I bought that fucking 4K TV for movies. I hardly use it, but that’s what it’s for.
