For me it wasn’t so much the runback, as it was fighting your spirit every time. I hated that. Especially if you died in a difficult platforming section. It only made it more difficult.

Maestro@fedia.ioto Parenting@lemmy.world•How did you get your children to go to day care?5·4 days agoMy kid has been going to daycare 3 days a week since he was 4 months old and we had to get back to work. There was no need to get him used to it. We just brought him. Mum had a harder time adjusting than he did 😄

Maestro@fedia.ioto Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week?5·9 days agoI just finished Strange Horticulture a few days ago. It was really fun! Not too long as well. It looks like a shop sim, but it’s a puzzle game.
After that I started Two Point Hospital. I used to play Theme Hospital a lot in my youth so this hits all the right spots.
Both were recently free on Epic.

Maestro@fedia.ioto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you play an instrument? What's your favorite thing about it?4·10 days ago30 years on the clarinet and 5 or so on the trumpet. I’m an average 2nd trumpet player but pretty good on the clarinet. There’s nothing quite like nailing a big solo in front of a couple of hundred people. I love it.
Thanks for the update 😃

So there it’s clear that the DLCs fund the base game too.
Have you had a chance to taste it yet? Is it any good?

Maestro@fedia.ioto Technology@lemmy.world•The Evidence That AI Is Destroying Jobs For Young People Just Got Stronger20·18 days agoIt doesn’t matter if the implementation is good. All that matters is that middle management gets more stuff “done” with fewer people. Where the definition of “done” is just tgat it hasn’t exploded in their face… yet…
Maybe you need to find a job with better management…
Yes, that’s what I meant as well 😄
Story points = hours just makes sense though. Even if your team doesn’t do it, then everyone will do it in their head anyway. Especially management. But everyone will have a different formula so you start arguing about how many story points something is. Just do it in the open.
I was recently at a gas station that scanned my license plate and then started showing me ads telling me to upgrade to a newer model of my car, while showing me ads for those ewer models from a used car website. It felt incredibly invasive and I haven’t been back to that gas station.
