IIRC it was watching a math lecture vs watching star wars on ADHD

Looking at Proton calendar, it seems I just put the website into Obtainium, I think there’s a monorepo somewhere, but I couldn’t find it.
FWIW, you can install the entire proton suite with Obtainium. For whatever reason though, 1password exclusively distributes through the Google play store, but AFAIK that doesn’t make the app itself any less private.

That watch doesn’t seem to have a step tracker

Is the censoring of words like bitch instance specific? If so, incredibly ironic for lemmy.ml of all places to be censored.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Need a solid daily driver browser that’s good for most thingsEnglish
5·7 days agoVivaldi is chromium… It’s also not FOSS. As with most the other people in the comments, I’d suggest Librewolf, though I’m looking into going back to regular Firefox with a custom user.js for added security.
I don’t recall any new controversies with Brave similar to that, but that said, there’s not much of a reason to use anything other than Safari anyways. You’re forced to use WebKit, and using something like Brave (which tbf is probably one of the better alternatives despite their history) only increases the number of parties you must trust, while mostly just being a reskin of Safari.
If lack of good ad block (e.g. beyond DNS) is a deal breaker, Brave seems to be the only open source option. Otherwise a good DNS server and adguard should get you most of the way there on Safari.
It might be an issue with your instance, the gif shows up fine for me on Thunder.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Should I be excited about Ladybird Browser ?English
10·9 days agoMy understanding is that they have no intent to violate user privacy, but they’re also not going out of their way to protect it. The goal is to have a completely independent browser, everything else falls second to that.
Judging by their post history, I think it is OP.

6·12 days agoYou got me there…
I did some digging and the logo seems to match with witty.computer, a crappy AI-based education website. I couldn’t find that video from them, but it certainly wasn’t created by neonghost. I’ll remove the link in my first comment. Good luck on the boycott.

35·12 days agoYeah Lemmy.ml sucks and all, but at least credit a username or something. It’s kinda duchy to steal someone’s joke and then not credit them because of something that isn’t even their fault.

Privacy@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Disinformation campain from madaidans-insecurities and privsec.dev (originally GrapheneOS devs)
4·14 days agoWho owns the spammy github account(s?)? Just because they endorse GOS doesn’t make them associated with the project.
I don’t think you read my post or look at this links, until then I don’t care what you’re saying
I did read your post, it has zero mention of how the websites belong to the GrapheneOS devs.
You also still have not provided any proof that the random lemmy account you linked (which has been inactive for 3 years) is a troll, though that’s besides the point.

6·15 days agoMaybe I’m just not understanding, but most of this seems very conspiratory. I’m happy to be wrong, but this post tastes like a giant nothing burger.
First, the “spamming” seems to be about not uploading their own apps to F-Droid, which is a fair concern given a lot of the apps’ permissions. F-Droid is slow when it comes to app updates, for better or for worse, and so hosting something like a PDF viewer puts the user at unnecessary risk.
Second, there is zero proof behind the blogs. Same with the “Suspicious GitHub accounts”. Sure they post the same stuff, but that could be literally anyone. Additionally, for the android recommendations, they recommend more projects than just GrapheneOS, something Daniel Micay would likely never do given his stance on everything.
Third, and finally, the account you linked as a troll seems to be just a random dude. From a pretty brief look over of their profile, they don’t even use Lemmy anymore, and haven’t made any troll posts. On Lemmy a user doesn’t really get “banned” anyhow. The instance hosting their account (lemmy.ml) can ban them, but nothing stops them from hosting on an instance that refuses to ban trolls (such as lemmy.ml).
I duckduckwent and searched “Can my grandma pick me up without sounding like we boutta fuck” and found an uncensored one lol
