I would say a true centrist is nothing. No beliefs on whether the means of production should be held by private companies or the people. Aka, they either cannot exist or have not formed an opinion on it making it so that their opinion wouldn’t matter.

The problem therein lies that we try to tie other things into it that aren’t about government, and instead about human rights, and it clearly diverts from being a line to a multi dimensional graph that all means next to nothing when it comes to claims like left right.

Both someone on the left and the right can want to subjugate parts of the populous without having to leave their belief on who owns the means of production.

If the guy was on another hole, he was never aiming at him as all evidence supports so far. The guy should spend life in prison yeah, but arguments like this make it easy for a lawyer to find holes in charges that would get them dismissed.

Much better arguments exist. For one the gun he carried has no ties to concealed carry, so it would never fall under concealed carry laws. You can’t conceal carry rifles.

Next, open carry is illegal in Florida to most locations including to the location he was found at. (Legal would mostly be hunting spots and gun ranges)

I would argue if the users don’t hold value, and the content is made by the uses, the company would need a re-evaluation of near zero value. Then again … Lemmy has no value to usernames. Debates don’t have unlimited time. That would simply allow them to lie every time a person has the last say on a topic. Making the other person have to use their time to speak on the next topic about a previous topics bologna, making minimal time to actually reply and a constant distraction from answering the questions which were hopefully designed to allow voters to better understand the positions of the candidates.

Tally’s don’t really work well either because lies aren’t always black and white. Say for instance someone says x number of people or $x were spent on something or were effected by something. If they say 400,000 but it was really 389,000… You would have to mark that as a lie equivalent to a lie saying John Snow wasn’t a character in game of thrones.

Doubt they would eliminate the names, that would hurt the “creditibility” beholden by the names they would want to use for their gain. I think it would go more like Amtrak, or the Prison systems. Destroying the pieces they don’t want, and making profits off the parts they can. Slowly pushing their agendas hiding behind the name of something they can use a disguise while most of the country never recognizes it changed. The parts they can’t profit off of they would leave as a burden to the people, and the profitable and influencial parts they will strip and grab.

It used to be it has to go 10 yards and if they received it it stayed where they landed, and if you failed to make 10 yards it was a penalty and the other tram recieved the ball.
