It’s more like international capital wants unfetter access to resources and labour power in China. A country doing economic or resource nationalism is the problem, not the government doing stuff. All western governments are heavily interventionists in their economies, but they do it mainly for the capitalists and especially the international capitalists, what they do for the people is for keeping social stability so that they may keep their position.

The funny thing is that this would be happening if US had resisted the urge to weaponize the dollar and swift. Both were functionally good enough and enable global trade like never before. but now US is increasingly sanctioning like half the world and both of those have suddenly become a burden for the world economy and a risk to be diversified away for countries, who fear they might for one reason or another get on some American officials list. What is US going to do to fight , probably more sanctions and more “funding of democractic oppositions and freedomfighters”. That will only make the case and urgency for this to go forward for many countries.

German industrial collapse is driving this. Industry needs large amounts of baseline power and that is more heavily tied to fossil fuels. Light industry and homes can more easily run on renewables where the output is less stable.

Also things like component sales have plummeted inside the EU mainly driven by the decline of German automotive industry. None of this is good. Being an increasingly poorer and uncompetitive service economy that buys Chinese goods and acts high and mighty because it can be more green is not a good direction.

Kysymys on aseteltu äärimmäisen manipuloivalla tavalla. Käytännössä siinä kysytään että rakastatko yksityisyyden suojaa ja siten tietoisesti tuet pedofiilejä.

Samanlaisella retoriikallahan tässä ollaan toisaalta aina oltu ajamassa yksityisyyden suojaa ja viestisalaisuutta alas. Aina löytyy joku silmitön pahuus tai mörkö jota vastaan taistelemisella voidaan oikeuttaa melkein mitä vaan. 2000 ja 2010-luvut oli se mörkö terrorismi, mutta nyt pitää taas kai siirtyä siitä pois.

Mutta taas kovin moni ei ole siellä katsomassa on se ongelma ja siten se ei maksa vaivaa.

Joo mutta kadunmies, joka on tarkoitus tavoittaa ei tule tekemään mitään fediverse tilejä jotta pääsee katsomaan valtion tiedotteita. Valtiota ei taida kiinnostaa onko some kaupallinen vai ei. Tärkeimmät syyt käyttää jotain alustaa on että sillä voi tavoittaa ihmisiä. Valtio varmaan käyttäisi vieläkin julkisia ilmoitustauluja ja virkamiehiä huutelemaan kadunkulmissa, jos parempaa ei olisi tarjolla. Toinen on että sen käyttö ei vaadi liikaa vaivaa tai rahaa. Joku premium nyt on ihan mitätön kulu jollekkin virastolle.

No on se varmaan suht helppoa, mutta maksaako se vaivaa? Varsinkin jos Suomalainen käyttäjäkunta on joitain tuhansia. Tästä joukosta niitä joita oikeasti kiinnostaa hallinto-oikeuden lausunnot on vielä pienempi. One can’t separate the cause and the method and the judge people merely through their methods. What pisses me off the most about NAFOids is the absolute and constant pettiness.

Are they legally bound to follow any sanction list in their dealings? If so Linux foundation should consider move out of the US jurisdiction, because the santion load is just going to increase and more countries will be included.

If they are just doing this because of a political fad and partaking “the current thing” then they are just voluntarily digging their own and the linux foundation’s grave.

That’s one way to kill off the remaining American foundry business, since if US can’t compete now and Korean and Chinese workers are as good, then there is no reason to shift production off in the long term.
