Had to double check the date on the article, but yeah it was today. Animgraph 2 already left beta, the update went live about a week ago and has received 1 or 2 updates since.
Been playing it for the last week on Ubuntu and since the weekend on the 26.04 release without issue. Movement feels much closer to CSGO, and the third person animations look much better now, so much easier to pick the counter strafe on the enemy.
I also agree with the general sentiment of the playbase currently. Animgraph 2 is how CS2 should have launched

Hi! No not at all, at least for me on both devices (Skyline and S25) Blorp ran great! If I get bored of Summit I’ll immediately return to Blorp ☺️

I thought that guy was a Dragoon from FFXIV. The armour, the stance, even the lance weapon and how it’s being held lol

I’m a pretty geeky IT person, who is trans, watches anime, reads manga, and plays WoW.
Yeah I’m basically a walking stereotype at this point 😅

Okay I just reread your post, as I missed the bit you mentioned about instances like blahaj hiding the downvotes.
So a couple of questions for you.
You mentioned the communities aren’t on the instances that hide downvotes… Are these communities that live on instances that are not federated with for example blahaj.zone?
And also, you mentioned that instances that are hiding downvotes is also not a solution due to the downvoter and others still being able to see the downvotes. So I ask, why is that an issue for you? Why be worried about fake internet points that aren’t even really tracked here (unlike Reddit for example), that you can’t even see? Actual engagement in discussion between people is far more important no?

Opt in? Great!
Makes sense Canonical would be looking at supporting AI on the desktop due to their vision of enterprise use. But as I said on another post yesterday or the day before, as long as it’s opt-in rather than opt-out, I personally don’t have an issue

Orrr, move to an instance that has the downvotes disabled. They don’t exist if I can’t see them ☺️

Haha yeah he did. From what I saw it was mostly just basic topics where he tried to make it look like he was an industry veteran pentester

I originally saw the guys cyber security shorts, and those just felt so off, like it was a semester 1 CS student spouting what they just learnt to seem like an SME.
Then much later on I came across him again when I saw that Hardcore WoW drama unfold. Instantly knew I was right when I originally thought something was off about him, felt so validating haha

This resurfaced a really old memory from when I was like 8 or 9 maybe.
We had a homework assignment (kind of) for school, where we had to go out and pick a star from a spot in our backyards or wherever, and then for each night over 2 weeks we had to track the stars position relative to our position we chose on night 1.
This was around the late 90s by that point, and I always thought it was pretty cool to get our young imaginations going on the stars beyond ☺️

Hii, so I’ve been seeing really positive results by following some of MIZI (on YouTube) targeted workouts. Not sure of public opinion on her vids, but they have been positively working for me. I’ll share links to the ones I use ☺️

Wasn’t the “I worked at Blizzard” guy (can’t think of their name right now) one of the most public people against Stop Killing Games?
Wonder what they have to say about all this now?

Not sure if it’s available on F-Droid or not, but I’ve been using Summit lately and absolutely loving it. Blorp was my previous favourite, but I prefer the bit more modern and clean UI of Summit.
I did try Jerboa about a year ago when I first tried Lemmy, but quickly dropped it due to UI/UX issues I was experiencing at the time, but I would personally just stick with Blorp if it was between them.
Voyager was another I tried previously. Earlier I tried on my other phone (HMD Skyline) and consistently had performance issues with the app (long load times, occasional crashing, janky scroll). When I got my S25 I thought this would be solved with the more powerful device, and while it was much better than before, I still had performance issues.
Hope this helps a little!

This is going to be all about how they implement it imo. There was a specific line in that article “for those who want it”, if they go for an opt-in approach which only then installs the AI capabilities, then yeah okay I don’t mind as an end-user.
If however Canonical implement AI into Ubuntu without being opt-in, then I’m out and never turning back.
Nice to meet you 😊
Hope you have an amazing week off!

This is my biggest thing I need to change in my life currently. I’ve been told so many times now that the weight I’m holding on to is most likely still due to the soft drinks and sugary energy drinks I consume way too much of

Thanks! ☺️

Haha that’s awesome!
I would love to do some development for older devices at some stage!
But yeah seeing the Google issues is definitely off-putting, but I’m just going to enjoy a build process for a while first
Ooo I’ll grab a pair of the ballet flats in the top right pleeease ☺️
