  • Yeah, if you want hunting gear, pretty sure camo is your only color choice. Kind like HenryFord with his any color as long as it’s black. I am not a hunter so what do I know.

but the other day I was looking for a long sleeve summer shirt to wear on walks/jogging this summer (I hate sunscreen), and ended up with a shirt for fishing. Every lightweight loose fitting long sleeve synthetic shirt was advertised as fishing gear. I guess I am a wannabe fisherman now.

  • It is correct. You have hiv but you die from aids. HIV, the virus, doesn’t kill you. It destroys your immune system to the point that you die from regularly common virus and infections normal people shrug off even without any medication. Hence hiv carriers might die from the common cold for example. But since hiv is the root cause of their death, rather than the common cold, we say they died of aids = auto immune deficiency disorder. This also allows to differentiate between asymptomatic carriers and people with symptoms.

  • Thank you for pointing out the flaws. Americans glorify universal care, and non Americans don’t understand what they are missing.

As an immigrant to America from a country with universal care, as well as suffering from an auto immune disorder, I am doing considerably better under the USA system than I was in the country I came from.

Besides the difficulty seeing specialists and getting advanced medication and procedures you have mentioned, proponents of universal care often forget to mention the proliferation of private medical services in every country offering universal care. How come there is a market for private hospitals and clinics if the public system is as great as they claim?

That being said, I still think the USA system needs major improvement, and in my 20 years of living in the USA, has noticeably gotten worse.
