At that point, you’re new money with no way to sustain it. You’re part of The Poors but with the added step of funneling that money into “better, more capable” hands, and a poor investment for a pardon.
Catapult vs trebuchet. The extra rotation point makes a world of difference.
Agree that the benefits dont quite outweigh the space issue though.
I bought a dab rig online the other day and was momentarily stunned to see a “NOT FOR TOBACCO USE, USE WITH NICOTENE EXTRACTS…” etc. I literally had to read it twice to make sure I read correctly. Well, well, well, how the turntables…

I cannot imagine voluntarily paying to sign my child up for that fate.
I’m sorry, 3000 reviews with a 5-star average just isn’t as convincing as 1000 reviews with a 4.6-star average. Brakktor the Unforgiving just seems like a better fit
This. I was sure I had mine completely clean 3 times and was pretty resigned to wireless charging only before a hardened sliver of detritus dropped out. Back to working like new.

Hazmatastic@lemmy.worldtoUnited States | News & Politics@midwest.social•They Warned Us in 1945: Fascism in America Would Look Like Patriotism - The Rational League12·1 month agoAbsolutely. Saved a copy for when it inevitably gets censored. This summation stuck out to me:
We often talk about MAGA as if it were a political disagreement. As if it were about taxes, jobs, or policy platforms. But what the research shows, across neurology, psychology, and political science, is that MAGA is something deeper: an identity reaction to perceived loss. It is fear rebranded as freedom. It is status anxiety rebranded as tradition. It is authoritarian psychology wearing the skin of patriotism.
This isn’t just a movement of bad ideas. It’s a movement of deeply felt insecurity, fused to a political figure who offers vengeance, not vision. And in that fusion, the need for power replaces the desire for truth. The need to dominate replaces the value of liberty. The need to feel morally superior replaces the capacity for self-reflection.

Used Boost for the other site, and also for Lemmy. Idk if it’s just Samsung phones, but whether post content, especially videos or gifs, loaded was a crapshoot. There were entire instances that won’t load a single post, and had similar behavior for subs on the other site. Spoilers didn’t work, links and formatting got messed up frequently, it was just an ever-growing list of small things that slightly annoyed me individually, but became ridiculous all at once It got so bad that I switched to Sync. I prefer Boost’s UI, but unless they fix things in a way that works for Galaxy, it’s gonna be a hard pass for me
Hazmatastic@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•If a country was confident they developed a technology that would act as a fool proof deterrent against nuclear attacks what would that mean for the rest of the world?2·1 month agoI think the idea is one of them is convincing someone to not do something they still have the power to do, while the other would be taking that power away completely. There may be a truly foolproof way to disarm a weapon, but there will never be a foolproof way to convince someone of anything due to the unpredictability of people.
“Nononono, it means bear right. There. Nonono, no, no, look. It means go up to the right, bear right over the bridge, and hook up with 307. It can’t mean that, there’s a lake there! This is the lake! This is the lake! No, it’s not- there’s no road here!”
