  • No, things aren’t alright. Just existing costs too much because we live in a system I feel we have no power to change. I’m desperate, but my efforts never seem to amount to anything. I’m constantly struggling to reassure myself that there is light at the end of the tunnel because right now I can’t see any. My wildest dreams fled long ago and even my humblest hopes are packing to leave. So, no, everything is not alright.

But enough about me, how are you?

  • I’m all for removing gender as the first dividing line, but there needs to be some divisions in place.

As an example, in martial sports they are often separated by weight class to balance the fact that a larger, heavier person would have an advantage over a smaller, lighter person.

Without that, basketball would be dominated by the tallest people only, but that means there is no reason for anyone who isn’t tall to even play the game. Break it into height classes and suddenly you meet have a league of skilled, average height players that could be very compelling to watch.

  • You’ll want to search online for a USB hub and find one in your price range with the features you want. I use Newegg for that sort of thing, and I like the Orico brand for it. I don’t have a specific recommendation because I don’t think there is much benefit from one to another.

I will also say that most wireless peripherals are USB 2.0 speeds, so a 3.0 hub would not provide much benefit to them. That said, having more bus speed available should allow for more devices on the hub without throttling each other.

The thing I find more important is an external power source if you’re connecting many devices. I run my mouse, keyboard, webcam, microphone, Bluetooth adapter, controller dongle, and streamdeck all through a hub mounted under the desk.

  • I have a character idea for a cleric that idolizes the god of pain.

They focus almost entirely on healing because you can’t keep suffering if you’re dead, if you’re alive you can grow stronger, and therefore, in their own twisted mind, if you’re suffering you’re growing stronger.

They don’t heal people right away unless not doing so would cause them to die and end their suffering. Instead, if the battle is over, they pull out a chart and start asking about how painful the wound is. This can be excruciating for the one who has to sit there and answer questions until they get healed.

The other portion of their build would focus on fighting the undead because they are abominations who cannot feel pain and cannot grow stronger because of it

The god goes along with it because their normal clerics may be into torture, which is great for pain, but they tend to get hunted down because of their extreme methods. This cleric causes pain indirectly by being surrounded by a bunch of murderhobos.

I would just throw clothes into the washing machine and maybe set it to a more thorough setting. Fabric lined would be a small steam cleaner with some enzyme cleaning spray until the water was clear and the staining was gone.

I’ve cleaned up too much dog poop to be overly concerned at this point.
