It’s often fixable if caught soon enough. Basically the affected creature gets ripped a new asshole under anasthesia.

8·7 days agoFor the first time ever, I opened a bundle to realize the dice straight up hadn’t been included. I opened a ticket after showing proof of purchase and was told Wizards was experiencing a higher than normal volume for returns and issues, so it’d be while before I saw it.
I wonder if others are experiencing a decrease in quality or if I was just unlucky?

32·9 days agoKnives that don’t suck. Also getting chickens. I love them so much, great pets and they lay eggs :)
Those talons though… impressive.

Funny@sh.itjust.works•Where did you think they were coming from?
12·16 days agoGotcha. I was vegetarian for many years, so I get it. Cooking chicken actually smelled like heated roadkill to me, I had to leave the room.
I felt healthier without eating meat, actually. Now that I am back to eating meat, I respect where it comes from and intend to use every part of my harvests (having a dog helps too). I believe I owe it to the animal to acknowledge where what is on my plate comes from and to be as humane as possible.

224·16 days agoSounds like you’re cooking it wrong. It feels disrespectful, but a lot of the people criticizing this probably rub their hands together and say, “yummy!” when they pull a burger out of a bag without thinking of the calf/cow it once was.
This is actually changing. Historically, folks usually moved more right as they aged, but that is shifting as folks agr now. Times are different, tons of people who did everything right can’t even afford a house now.

Leopards Ate My Face@lemmy.world•We Went To Nebraska: The Beef Crisis Will Shock YouEnglish
1·1 month agoSure! There are the cattle I mentioned in my post which are genetically distinct (if a bit inbred now after generations on the island), a story of a domestic cow escaping in Poland to live in the Bialowieza Forest among wild bison, the feral cattle in Australia which are descendants of domesticated herds, Chirikof island cattle in Alaska which live on only grass, etc. There may be some good videos online which also cover the topic. I do believe a lot of successful feral cattle likely come from beef lines, however. I don’t see dairy cattle being quite so successful considering how extremely we’ve bred them, but I could be wrong.
Fair point. Even in this case that could be true, but the added context made me fill in the blanks to believe the disappointment was more about him not being able to pass certain things on since he believed in traditional gender roles.

3·1 month agoThere are pockets of feral cattle in the world, including on Swona in Scotland, Australia, etc. So cows dont necessarily need us to survive, but we have bred things like dairy cows to such extremes that I doubt they would fare well. I do think it’s debatable that dairy cows are treated well, I think it unfortunately depends a lot on which farmer they end up with and how they view livestock livelihood.
I think it’s sad that things are so hard for folks who want to be great parents and raise amazing new human beings. It’s super shitty that anyone would be demonized for wanting to raise a family, especially considering they most likely aren’t the reason the world sucks and is too expensive most places. I agree the reason you see so much complaining about birth rates with no action is everything to do with folks wanting more meat for the grinder without budging on anything cost related to quality of life for said families. You see zero movement on trying to make it easier to have children, just complaining.
Why does the husband have a hand with 5 fingers for only the first panel and then everyone else has mits for hands? Lol.
I had a very Christian coworker who already had a daughter and who was part of the maga pipeline. He didn’t hide his disappointment when he told me the gender of he and his wife’s next child had been revealed as another girl. Sent a shudder up my spine how he paused and said it in a sad tone, the way you would if you were a teenager expecting a Mustang for your birthday and instead having your parents roll up in a Saturn for you. What kind of world do we live in where folks are disappointed that their next kid will be female? It’s dumb society has been crafted this way, stupid af.
How do people have money to just afford replacing things like this? Or is this a sacrificial chair for the cat? Is all their furniture like this? I have so many questions.

3·3 months agoAm I the only one who preferred the “skinnier” style of controller like the old GameCube or even N64 controllers? I loved that grip control, now it feels like we’ve been either trending towards bloated controllers like this one that suck for people with smaller hands or those tiny little joycons that hurt to use long term.

What are the best jobs for these types of people? Im a sales admin and just lost a boss who was amazing with letting us have freedom. Dreading the new boss’s setup already. I dont want to be an admin forever. Ive heard medical (EMS, nurse, radiography) and thinking like sales/marketing are good ideas. I like helping people in an environment where they arent already angry when they come to me lmao.
Just in case some folks don’t know… some breeds are designed for this. My buddy’s Pyrenees will do anything to stay outside in the snow and not come in as often as possible.

I feel like this is all well and good until you need insurance. If you damage something and get sued without insurance/LLC, they’re suing you directly instead. Dicey territory depending on what you’re being sued for.
