That poor cosmic horror. It needs a soothing cup of tea, and maybe a nice hot bath to wash away the stink of having had to be in the presence of private equity.

If DropOut thinks all it takes to get a laugh out of me is bringing back the ridiculous vibe of the 1990s… then I guess they know their audience pretty well.

Never half-ass a transporter meld of two officers. Always kill the transporter abomination, to recover one full-ass vulcan officer.

If Neelix also survives, you can claim you did that on purpose, too.

I just want my warp core back, man!

Finally, someone has subverted those pesky expectations we have about Christian ninjas.

Yes. It’s hard sometimes to tell who has been genuinely deceived by Christian Ninja propaganda, and who is just being paid to prop up Christian Ninja talking points.

Sorry, I’m in a silly mood, and just desperately wanted to yes-and your delightful post.

These resources helped me successfully switch from Ollama to Lama.cpp. Thanks!

If Bezos capped his wealth at just below one billion, the rest of us would have to actively take cover to avoid getting hit by all the money he would release into the (suddenly much freeer) market.

This mostly wasn’t my cup of tea, this time. I shouldn’t have tried to watch at dinner time, I guess.

But I will be using those improved stages of grief.

Edit: In particular, the next time someone asks me why I took up another weird hobby, I may answer “I’m grieving.” There’s a grain of truth in that, anyway.

If my Gundam models make me an incel, no one tell my kid*.

Same here.

Rescue Dukat, obviously.* One careless mistake should not erase his ceaseless dedication to the citizens of the quadrant.

I heard it was mostly instigated by some Ensign she never promoted…

Oh shit! No dip!?

I always thought it would be…them. Exaclty them.

How dare you throw shade at my Great Lakes Avengers! lol.

Rock on!

Edit: What I mean is - thanks for sharing, and I respect your efforts.

I plan to operate on expired certificates for two to four years, forcing all three of my users to click past a terrible warning.

Then I will automate my six day certificate rotation with Ansible (officially), but maybe actually with a stupid bash script in CRON (unofficially).

The real value is in the agility needed to update certs every six days.

Six days is still too long to leave a compromised key in play, but anyone who can rotate their keys every six days can probably also rotate their keys quite quickly if there’s a comprise.

I will study these. Thank you!

I’m not the OP, but I’m trying to figure out if local models are always painfully slow or if I’m missing something obvious in my tuning.

Stable Diffusion can whip up a picture in less time on the same hardware, than lama.cpp takes to decide to call an MCP function.

It seems like I must be missing something in my lama.cpp setup, but none of the guides I’ve read have clued me in to what I’ve done wrong.

Ollama performs similarly poorly on the same harsware, so I’ve probably managed to make the se mistake(s) at least twice.

Anyway, that’s the main thing I’m reading along for. Trying to increase my understanding until I catch my own mistakes.
