Your point was that energy costs the same, no matter if produced by a PV system or consumed from the grid, was it not? Because if so: that is not the case in (at least) Germany. And if that was not your point, please do correct me.

Speaking from my Germany-centric point of view again: PV systems are generally set up to feed the unused power into the grid (or into some kind of battery storage if you’ve got one, but even that’s gonna be fully charged at some point). And you generally also connect your EV charger to the grid.

So…do you ask the sun to only come out while you’re home and plugged in?

No, why would I? However, I do do the opposite: I try to charge my parked-at-home car when the sun is out. Something this software aims to automate.

At least in Germany, energy in ≠ energy out. We have a 19.27kWp PV system, and energy we feed into the grid earns us ~0.067€/kWh (yes, 6.7 cents) while energy we consume from the grid costs ~0.25€/kWh. So each kWh we can use directly in our household saves us about 0.18€ (± tax and whatnot).

This is also not even taking into account dynamic contracts with lower per-kWh prices at certain times.

Der Trick an der Sache ist, dass dir der Hausarzt dann sagt, dass du dich doch nicht so sehr stressen sollst. Geh doch einfach spazieren und trink etwas Tee. Und zack, keine Überweisung für den Facharzt.

Klar, die Fachärzte entlasten wir, indem wir die Hausärzte noch mehr belasten, nur um dann immer noch zum Facharzt gehen zu müssen. Richtig kluger Vorschlag.

Über den ersten Satz bin ich genau deswegen ein paar mal gestolpert, bis mein Hirn die fehlenden Kommata fand.

Hab wegen eines anderen Kommentars jetzt nochmal geschaut und muss enttäuschen: es sind batterieelektrische Züge. In Prenzlau war er aber tatsächlich an der Oberleitung “angedockt”.

Toilette könnte tatsächlich schon im alten Zug vorhanden gewesen sein, 100% sicher bin ich mir da nicht mehr. WLAN, Steckdosen und Klapptische fehlten aber definitiv.
