Insane. Marginally related… I’ve learned the last year or so since I took up a moderator position for a computer game… Some complaints you just gotta disregard no matter how many people whine. Being offended is a you problem. not ours. I’ve had this happen equally amongst people who were percieved as right wing, or lefties.

yeah, we still have a TV package but I havent had a TV in my office where I spend most of my awake off-time, there’s nothing worth watching anymore for me, just awful programming , news, sports, and PPV/Inferior on demand services.
I dont even use netflix anymore, I rage-quit after falling for that tyson paul bait and switch scam. the only “TV” I watch anymore is like streams of 15 year old adult cartoons like the Boondocks and South Park. and whatevers on my buddy’s Plex server. almost entirely old stuff more than 5 years old.
watching the news is just brain rot. you can get informed by 10 mins of scrolling current events on many different websites… if you feel the need to be informed.
it’s not the driving factor. but merely the ugly truth about an overlooked issue thats flown under the radar with this whole thing.
to clarify, when Im talking about “bad immigrants abusing the system” I’m talking about people who come here on a fake student visa or otherwise scammed their way in, Obtained a PR, also scammed under the same student visa path they took . and then scheming to get multiple family members brought over to join them under the family reunification path, and all of a sudden one person turns into 18 people . they come over, have zero interest in integrating, they just want to milk the land for what they can get, one of them being everyone utilizing the healthcare system for expensive services they wouldn’t otherwise get at home.

people can dress it in whatever positive or negative light they want over the p*rn issue. the larger issue at hand IMO is that its the government stepping into people’s private lives and telling them how to live. “Your culture is immoral, you need to learn morals and modesty. you are being reprimanded for your immoral behaivor” These views are Considered Immoral by some but perfectly fine by others.
lets call it what it is, its the people who err on the bible thumping side of the fence, trying to enforce their views on the rest of the people.
I’m a supporter of more scrutiny in general when it comes to kids having access to stuff online, (A lot of stuff, not just 18+ things). but that’s obviously the avenue that the Morality Police are trying to take to go after society in general

You know I thought it was low effort cringe when I first heard “demacrips and rebloodpicans” in a body count song, but Im starting to like it more by the day
They are end of life now and have ceased production, but if you can manage to find a 5800X3D , that CPU is the definition of sleeper. I had a 5700X I think it was, and the performance boost was f***ing unreal, I expected meagre gains, I saw 20 to 50% performance increase on many games. if you’re into that kind of thing. if you see one for sale, seriously think about grabbing it.
its the whole reason aside from the OS issue, Im not even remotely worried about the next few years, it can compete with the high end stuff of the AM5 generation still. unreal.

the Canadian system is broken because we have to share a border with America. It wasn’t the abject horror until the doctors and nurses quit from the covid days, and we flooded a bunch of bad Immigrants in who had no interest in doing anything but abusing the country for all they could cash out on.

The world saw Russia for what it was then, That event “steeled” the resistance. I’m only 32. but now I think of the 22 year old version of myself who was a degenerate who would stay up until 5 in the morning, sleep until past noon, and do it all over again for 1-2 weeks at a time.
