I’ve seen plenty of “progressives,” including social democrats, who condemn Hamas simply because they killed Israeli occupiers on October 7.
For many living in the Gaza Strip before 0ct 7, it was a fate worse than death. As for progressive politicians like Bernie Sanders, their vague support for Palestine is worthless. All these people want to help a subjugated group as long as they do not violently defend themselves. Also, the help progressive libs offer is to use liberal democracy, specifically voting, which is more than useless when it’s that same system that is the cause of this situation.
