Increased font size maybe or more likely the classic “fake text meme for internet points”.

Europe@feddit.org•‘Putin’s rapists cannot be pardoned. How would I tell the women?’ - Trump’s peace plan includes an amnesty for actions during the war, but victims in Ukraine urging Britain to support prosecutionsEnglish
7·8 days agoThe incentive is Russia not continuing to lose staggering amounts of troops invading a country they share a border with. Russia could argue civilian casualties via fog of war and other typical war crimes excuse. You don’t accidentally rape in war. The only reason you try to get amnesty for it is if it’s SoP and it’s a tool you’re preserving for future conflicts. Things like rape, kidnapping children and even gunning down clearly unarmed elderly civilians in close range should be outside of scope and not applicable for amnesty by law. I’d also put it to you that even the most morally devoid, ghoul of a human would prefer a jail cell as opposed to dying slowly from being half disintegrated by a drone. Even for the hypothetical few that wouldn’t; the rest of the combat force shouldn’t have to pay that price.

Australia@aussie.zone•NSW police unlawfully arrested and choked man then tried to delete footage, watchdog findsEnglish
9·13 days agoYes there is, he will likely face the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission, an independent body, and be investigated internally by NSW police. Fucking with evidence is also a big no no and cops have been charged for attempting to destroy body cam footage among other things before. If NSWPol refer him to DPP he is likely cooked.

7·13 days agoDo things in recycle bin not get synced to the cloud/backed up?(edit: nope seems everything from breaking migration tool, ballooning profiles and overzealous compliance can be mitigated elsewhere). Hence doing so in the roll out? No idea otherwise or why they wouldn’t know. Sometimes we just get told to do things a certain way. Not IT anymore but currently work with engineers who try shortcutting triage queues (probably in an attempt to save everyone time, not maliciously) and we have to undo their assignment and triage it as laid out. Specifically we were told “people will try to tell you who to send internal requests to, ignore them”. Largely for accountability so tickets/requests don’t get dropped or breach SLA and also because it can break workflows. Locking out recycle bins without being able to provide a good reason is pretty wild though lmao.

1·14 days agoSo my first remark highlighting this being obviously done to reduce expenses on employee wages is met with a remark about “”safety”” because surely that’s why corps are trying to automate jobs, and dripping condescension. Now you’re presuming to lecture me on democracy and corporations being evil. Not to be rude, but you seem like someone that doesn’t socialise outside social media very much.

1·19 days agoRight, it’s totally reasonable that the burden be on citizens and not corporations who consistently attempt to capsize the economy with greed. Are you American because it’d tempting to be equally condescending about their “democracy”.

Doesn’t justify the racism that allowed it to proliferate nor cunts like Alan Jones but not bringing these up in any discussion around the riots is poor journalism.

Did I say that? GitHub action descriptions isn’t really an avenue to communicate with users.
ABS is a feature to stop sliding which I imagine would be crucial in winter driving. That and making sure your tyres are suited for that condition and have good tread on them.
I think the description is sufficient. As long as the dev and contributors know what it’s referring to. Isn’t this app mostly worked on by one person? I think people complaining about short action descriptions or calling them stupid is a bit excessive. Unless both you and the OP are looking to contribute?
Hmmm wonder what’s going on with all these images, anyway.

3·1 month agoSeven figures while semi-literate? If you say so. The way you type is strikingly close to another clearly unwell poster that posted similar grandiose claims.
Yeah no, “you think they’re hostile because of an accent”? Please. The interviewer themselves says something to the effect of “I must say I think it’s a perfectly reasonable question to ask” which then gets him to ease up about it and explain himself. Either way, not hallmarks of a great educator, at least in that interview specifically. I think someone like Neil deGrasse Tyson would have handled the question in a better manner. Anyway, not worth having an internet debate over; especially not when you’re going to get downvoted for disagreeing.

Nothing to see here, just the president of the US running obstruction for Russia.
