The thing about privacy is that there’s always more steps to take, but we all need to stop somewhere before ending up in an offgrid cabin in the woods. ;)
I’m pretty much stuck on the android issue aswell, but haven’t come to a conclusion yet. One thing I am thinking of is to have one android phone for banking and other essential apps which require android to work, and then using a degoogled android for daily use. This way I can make sure all my communication and daily activities are secure, while compromising where I absolutely have to, with next to none of my data being abused by big tech for profit.
Sometimes I ask myself why I do all this, aswell. For my part it’s mostly about knowledge, and avoiding the awful feeling I had experiencing personalized ads. Taking care of my piracy is a lot less exhausting than resisting endless manipulation and mind tricks from personalized algorithms every single say.
