Let me think about what I know about a trump supporter in my family who wasn’t one in 2016, but was die hard in 2020 and 2024.

Nothing has ever been his fault. He used to buy into supernatural urban legend stuff. I don’t know if he still does. He had no job in 2020 but still thinks he was doing better than in 2016, so his own employment either doesn’t matter to his well-being, or he’s detached from reality. I mean I think it’s the second.

He didn’t used to be racist (10 years ago), but I’m pretty sure he quotes fbi crime statistics without context now. I’m not sure how you reach that. He used to be moderate or even left of american center, but now all the news that is not Tim Poole is fake.

Oh and he was part of an ayn rand sex cult for a year there. He still believes her stuff despite having been kicked out by the leader.

I don’t think he’s newly mobilized though so whoever was this go around may be different. I don’t know if it matters now. I feel like organizing may get some crack down in the near future. Best case is he’s so incompetent that he can’t implement the policies he said he will and people can vote freely in the future.

  • That’s the thing I’ve read before, but does

“No person convicted of a felony, or adjudicated in this or any other state to be mentally incompetent, shall be qualified to vote or hold office until restoration of civil rights or removal of disability. Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, any disqualification from voting arising from a felony conviction shall terminate and voting rights shall be restored upon completion of all terms of sentence including parole or probation.”

mean that it excludes it when the other state doesn’t have a rule removing rights? Maybe a lawyer can explain it to me, but following the links to the actual law seems to contradict what’s on the page from how I understand it. Also what’s in the page seemed to get edited there as soon as people started asking about it.
