Still, so far, it appears legit through comments I saw from quite a few developers and users.

Bandcamp, Supraph Online, Ototoy, Uta 573, Steam and GOG’s OSTs and Apple’s iTunes store have been my to-go options. No DRM, no worries. Just avoid Apple’s music subscription, as it is DRM’d.

By this logic, demos from GOG could be posted too, since both are appetizers for something else (in Prime’s case, an appetizer for the paid service), and both can be claimed.

Prime is a paid subscription, so users would need to pay to be able to get the game.

If you like reading books, comics, etc, maybe Librera Reader?

Playing Hollow Knight. Pretty fun so far! Just a tad too hard and far more expansive than I’d expect even a metroidvania to be, so progress is slow.

Since 10 y.o. is old enough to be a cutoff for me, PS Vita, and because modding community never stopped. You can even play some Android and PC games through wrappers in it. *-*

Dunno the site, but one thing I do is to go to a site known as “AppSales” and to hide whatever titles I find with MTX with Ublock Origin filters. The process is a chore, but at least, each title needs to be hidden once and only once.

And sure, this is considering that the person uses only Google Play. I, for one, prefer to seek games in stores like Humble Bundle (owned by IGN), Itchio, and so on.

Maybe don’t care as much? First due to the stress it causes. Second, if you pretend to be someone you’re not, people may end up liking that instead, and much like with any farce, the longer it goes, the more cracks appear.

Also, something I try to do is, without worrying much for the result, to chitchat with people. If they sound/look interested, I keep going and depending on how it evolves, I might even have gotten someone who I’m going to be hanging with for years to come. If they don’t sound or look interested, I slowly drop the attempt and try it with someone else down the line.

Iirc, there are unofficial ports of LineageOS for newer devices. Also, I’ve been using another system, ArrowOS, in its vanilla form, on a Redmi Note 10 Pro phone I have, and it’s working fine so far, so maybe an alternative for your case if you don’t find a decent phone compatible with LineageOS?

Duolinguo feels more like a very annoying ad than a learning tool, often under-explaining what it tries to teach while heavily penalizing and shaming the user for getting things wrong.

What I would suggest, other than hiring an actual teacher, would be to immerse yourself in works from their language, such as music, comics, books, movies, and so on. Also, Spain’s Real Academia Española has a dictionary+conjugator site that is VERY helpful, even for “dialects” such as the Latin America variations (link for the tool is dle.rae.es). Finding someone to try to talk to in Spanish may also help, although getting to know some of the grammar beforehand is advised.

Now, as for either free or FOSS programs specifically for learning the language, sadly, I’m not aware of any.

Linux systems are usually laid bare for people to tinker with, which for me is specially good if I see something I don’t like, be it software, UI or UX.

Plus, most PC’s I’ve seen from at least the past ~20 years can run Linux, so if I get my hands on a working PC, Linux becomes an easy choice.

Plus², Linux can be made very privacy friendly.

On the plus side, this gives people plenty of time to tackle their ever increasing backlogs, and also to give companies more reasons to put out a functional product in order to compete with all the kilometric backlogs people already have.

If you’re just burning through money without improving, I’d also suggest to look for alternatives. If you have the option, maybe psychiatrists in other states would be more willing to help you?

Not a stats guy myself. At most, I get trophies out of something that feels a bit like OCD. Ultimately, I just want to have fun with my games, and not to boast them around. And tbh, one of the reasons I started dropping Steam was precisely the enforced social features (still use it, but now I’m finishing more games than I get instead).

Maybe inversion of sleep schedule? Apparently, that’s common with ADHD. But, in doubt, seek professional assistance.
