Maybe he thought releasing Death Stranding on consoles complete on disc was good enough.
Personally I don’t think he thought much about it at all. Maybe this changes in the future. We’ll see.

Don’t read too much into it. I was merely criticizing the whole ecosystem around it. Because for every “government slapped” story there’s at least one where fans threatened the devs because they didn’t feel pandered to enough. The whole situation is just toxic.

Perhaps you should read the article.

Genuinely surprised they even dared to release a female character in shorts to a Chinese audience. You would think they know how much they indoctrinated their audience with trashy fan service by now. The stories about enraged lonely guys almost ending an entire franchise over not pandering enough to their fantasies are crazy. You don’t want to mess with those guys. It could put your employees in actual danger.

Right now, even if physical discs disappear, you’ll still be able to download game data onto your hard drive.
But even then you don’t actually own them. Didn’t Kojima read the terms of use when he released his games on platforms like Steam? Why not give us DRM free versions of Death Stranding if ownership is this important?
For acorns, pebbles and trash that seemed useful at the moment?

Fans of billionaire shocked to see billionaire does billionaire things.

He will continue to make our lives harder of course.

She’s also a woman, doesn’t live in Germany and married to an immigrant. Pardon the language but she’s what you call a token. Good enough to get votes and appear normal but she will be disposed of as soon as they actually hold some power.
I thought the bottom row was already old a year ago.

Happy Birthday Cheeseburgers! Look who made you a cake!
Better at what? Trains? Yeah. Watches? Probably. Chocolate? you bet. Hoarding Nazi gold? That too, probably. But hey, at least they tax the rich.
I like that German social media that was targeted at teenagers and young adults (ShülerVZ, StudiVZ, Spickmich, etc.) has been pretty much wiped off the internet when they went offline. It was replaced by Facebook which is pretty grim but at least my generation doesn’t have to live with the shit we wrote online ~20 years ago as angsty teens. Back then you didn’t have scrapers in the capacity we do today so very little from that era survived. And that’s for the best.

Okay but have you considered: Fuck AI?

I started to dismiss AI apologists that merely urge us to differentiate between ethical use and abuse. They give examples of how AI is used in medicine or for climate research and while I don’t necessarily disagree the truth is that AI is a net negative for society by a long shot. About 99% of AI use is malicious at worst and wasteful at best.
The very few decent use cases of LLMs can be dismissed for the sake of simplicity for the argument that AI sucks and needs to be stopped.
At some point it’s more practical to burn down an entire infested crop field rather than trying to salvage the remaining 1% that are still good and waste precious time and resources. If we’re too gentle with regulations and bans we’ll never get rid of the mold. Just burn it all down and start from scratch. You’ll reach your goal of ethical AI use much sooner this way.
Valve is far from perfect but I for one still have access to the movies I bought on Steam even after they delisted them. They’re winning again by doing literally nothing.

He never really had a conscious and probably realized nazis would swallow his turds and ask for seconds so as long as they’re shaped like swastikas.
Because these are the times we’re living in I guess.

Seems like the DualSense is an annually subscription by the way they build these things.
“Americans” as in white Europeans?
The new Xbox leadership seems competent. Which the Microsoft leadership quickly noticed and sabotaged. At least that’s what I’m stitching together from the timeline of headlines in recent months.
Many aspects of Xbox seemed to improve until Microsoft announced a tighter grip around Xbox recently. Now everything is going downhill faster than ever. It’s amazing how quickly Microsoft is demolishing their gaming branch.
