  • I have a question on this. Suppose I had my work Mac stolen, and the thief knew my computer password. Passkey normally requires fingerprint (or Touch ID to be fancy), but I’ve discovered that once you close the lid, and connect it to an external monitor, it reverts back to your Mac password. Isn’t that a single point failure, as now only one thing is required to login? I mean, passkey doesn’t even require password, either. Just one click and you’re done.

  • The biggest problem is the aging population and the need to support them via social security, etc. As the population ages, the distribution becomes an inverted pyramid and we’ll need to pay for more and more people’s retirement. It’ll slowly become worse and worse as one person will eventually be responsible for the survival of 4-5 old people (and their family notwithstanding). Otherwise I think a declining population is fine.
