VPN/some weird DNS app that might be enabled but broken???

Oh, another thing. I have had situations that could be described similarly. The problem in those cases was my browser just having a day. Please try different browsers or do a force stop.

In particular, I have had cursed Firefox tabs that are never able to load content, but closing all of them and starting a new session has fixed.

I am hoping one of these simple fixes will work, because I feel for ya.

edit: you mentioned Spotify and Discord which I am assuming are on apps, and not a web browser. :(

Eesh. Sorry. It doesn’t sound like a sim card problem if it is not saying there is a sim problem, so removing and readding your card probably wouldn’t help…

There are some relatively nuclear options under Settings > System > Reset options. I also wondered if maybe there’s something weird happening with power saving profiles. If the phone is plugged in and not on battery saving options that is probably not a concern.

Precisely. I am interested in reading what people have to share, and for the most part I feel that people here are interested and thoughtful when they share! I am not taking it for granted - its good while it lasts - and can’t ignore that it is closer to Reddit than the 00s forums that I really miss, but it’s good.

These are all things I know, and have been conscious of, but have been totally normalized in my brain as it just kind “being how it is”. This is a good post.

I think the limitations of my first post are pretty much the limitations of what I’ve come to think about these big tech corporations. I agree with your basic premise but it will take me more time in my journey until I can totally get to grips with the full argument. :) My pause is primarily on how Windows is itself an “unethical” product and how that affects other people and corporations other than Microsoft (sure it is an unethical arrangement, but I need to do work before I can make that argument myself).
