When people want to increase privacy on their mobile device they are told to buy from Google, which is the very company most people want to stop supporting and consider the biggest threat for privacy?
Doesn’t this seem far too ironic, and convenient?
Assuming I’m among people who share my level of paranoia, or hightened sense of awareness, does this not strike anyone else as highly suspect?
Given how glaringly obvious of an issue this is, I am surprised I don’t see it addressed more often.
I’m wondering what privacy conscious people have to say about this, I get unlocked bootloader makes degoogling easier, but isn’t it far too convenient it is Google hardware we have to rely on, or at least that is the primary recommendation?
