Can I have my cursor on at the end of the URL instead of selecting all of it, when I focus on the URL bar? - eviltoast

I know I can press right but I’m just wondering if it can be done by default.

Default is probably select all because most people interact with the address to either copy the address or clear it to enter a new address. I empathize though

If it didn’t highlight the entire entry, it should place the cursor where you clicked instead of the end, which for long URLs might not even be visible. That’s the old old old behavior.

Yes, and you definitely used to be able to change the behaviour to stop it highlighting everything, as at one point that was doing my head in so I changed it. I find it easier now just to click twice, rather than trying to find a setting which stops it highlighting everything.

I’m looking for the opposite on the Android version. It goes against the default behavior when your last interaction with the bar was a search. I always end up doing “old searchnew search” and it drives me crazy
