“Marching in support of the war in vietnam and nixons policies”

    “the birth of modern conservatives”

So… conservatives support the wanton destruction and massacre of multiple countries, lying about what countries are being invaded/bombed (Cambodia, Laos), wide ranging chemical weapons attacks, and sending american troops into an unwinnable war?

Because if everyone goes to college, it’s more competition for their rich kids…

They dont want to demolish colleges, they want it to go back to a system only 1% of people can afford.

If you look at any aspect of their ideology, it mostly boils down to this. They want special privileges that others can’t have because they deserve it in their just-world philosophy.

That’s why they seem openly hypocritical about things like abortion, and why blatantly discordant groups like Log Cabin Republicans can exist.

Well, also they want kids educated at church like they’re supposed to be, so they believe in the correct dogma written by the man on TV with the 5 private jets.

They hate them because college was the only place they ever got properly challenged on their ideas. Lusting after that hot hippie girl who hates everything you stand for can be a formative experience.
