PS Vita game Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. This is early into the game when you find your first castaway. Adol stumbled on her bathing in the stream.
I personally always loved the Vita graphics and the feel of the handheld, so I prefer this version of the game.

Dana technically shows up in Monstrum Nox, and that game kind of continues alluding to themes from Lacrimosa, depending on your interpretation.
Hmmm. Maybe I’ll give it another go. I only got about two or three hours in before I moved onto other items in the backlog.
I think most Ys games are slow to start and easy to let go of, but if you hang in there, the stories eventually reach a point at least for me that I can’t stop.
