Was curious if anyone had any real life examples of them applying the practices of Stoicism in any situation.
Could be something heavy as a soldier in the battlefield to someone sitting at home in their thoughts.
I can start off with something light: I live in Chile and the general attitude towards getting things done is, “mañana.” There is never a rush, if at all it gets completed (which 99% of the time it does not). Yet, I am originally from the US where our attitude is, “now.” I used to be very frustrated at first years ago, but with following the “what is or is not within ones control” mindset, perspectives have changed. It is nearly always out of my control, and it is all good in the end.
