    “Repeated requests to the United States Federal Government for assistance in obtaining a listing of noncitizens currently residing in Alabama were denied," he said. “This lack of cooperation led my team and I to approach the issue differently.”

    so like, the federal government wasn’t willing to assist with potentially breaking voting laws, so they decided the best idea was to do it anyway? Interesting. That being said, it looks like the intent was to prevent non-citizens from registering, but like the fact they didn’t already have the information of who was a citizen vs non-citizen at hand is really weird

    At least it’s easy enough to fix, I figured it would be something that you couldn’t fix on voting day, which is where most of the false positives will be discovered.

      It’s not the fixing part, it’s the intimidation part. The one person felt like she was going to get in trouble or be “watched” if she tried to fix it.
