Can non-airborne viruses become airborne through mutation? - eviltoast

For example, would it be possible for an STD or malaria to become airborne?

    It depends on the viral vector, what cells the virus is able to enter and replicate in. In theory yes as long as the virus can sustain itself as live in airborne phase, also duration. If the live duration is hours then it’s very likely. Even large bacteria like Tuberculosis is airborne
