For all the good they do.

The first violation fine Boring Co. received at their Bastrop County site amounted to a bit under $12,000 for erosion control. Theres at least 13 violations they’ve racked up between Boring Co and the Space X facility there, including discharging wastewater into a roadside drainage ditch. TECQ is aware of his issues, but as long as he “resolves” them, they really don’t care too much. And the funny part is that the violations started in 2021, before they even broke ground, with illegal septic systems.

Nobody ever mentions how river bend they’re located on is eroding due to documented runoff, or the now scrubbed picture of a foamy liquid leaking from the tunnel feet from the river. Apparently, it warranted an air quality violation, though, which also went without penalty.

Also, yes, Chap is mentioned in many, if not most, of these articles, but he’s really the only one watching. Without him, most of these violations would go unreported and he does provide the documentation to back up his claims, even if many of them are not super public.
