She’s stated she’s open to changing policy on Israel. If you’re looking for her to break hard with Biden’s plan, before the election, you’re going to be disappointed. Even if that is her plan, she needs to keep up the appearance of unity for now.
No, they’re trying to get her to swear to cut Israel off completely. Something that she cannot do publicly because if she took any sort of strong stance, AIPAC would start spending $100s of millions helping Trump beat her, since Trump has publicly stated he supports Israel’s actions in Gaza. As long as money is the lifeblood of politics in this country, organizations like AIPAC will continue to wield obscene power here.
