I don’t know if it’s true for all instances, but for lemm.ee, you have your username that can never be changed, and then you have a display name.
on boost, I always see people’s usernames, and my posts always show up under my username rather than my chosen name. is there a way to change that?

+1 from me, this is a pretty nice feature
People have been using display names to troll or confuse people, so I like that boost shows usernames instead of display names.
But if it was implemented as an optional displaying feature, I’d not be against it.
could just display both like Twitter
Was about to make a post of my own asking about this feature. Would be a really useful option to have, especially for viewing stuff by hexbear users for example, where I believe including pronouns is mandatory.
