    Definitely not. The geology of California and the rest of the PNW is wild. I suspect this map only shows the strongest recorded events. There are heaps of geological evidence that the PNW regularly experiences 9.0+ thrust fault earthquakes, but the timescales on which they happen are way outside how long we’ve been measuring this stuff.
