I am not a KDE dev, but interested in that topic.

    As someone who only uses default kde settings: no!

    This is the type of change I wouldn’t notice until a default created UX friction, and not being able to fix that change would drive me away from the DE. Having the option to hack at something means i can use it for much longer without concern.

      Yes I agree here too. My config is pretty close to default, but especially some apps have different buttons and some minor settings are changed.

      But I would still call this “minor changes”
