Hoeksche Waard

Hoeksche Waard is een gemeente in de Nederlandse provincie Zuid-Holland. De gemeente telt 89.846 inwoners op 31 januari 2023 (bron: CBS). De gemeente ontstond na een gemeentelijke herindeling van vijf Zuid-Hollandse gemeenten (Oud-Beijerland, Korendijk, Strijen, Cromstrijen en Binnenmaas) per 1 januari 2019 en omvat naast het eiland Hoeksche Waard ook het eiland Tiengemeten. De gemeente maakt deel uit van de Veiligheidsregio Zuid-Holland-Zuid. Aldus Wikipedia😄
