A medical team in the U.S. has performed a rare kidney transplant during which the patient was awake throughout the procedure and was discharged the next day.

I heard about this on NPR and the doctor said “you know women give birth while awake” as the impetus for thinking of doing this and … idk I bet Ms. Bunnys woulda chose to be asleep for it
