Plus you need to manage subscriptions, billings, CMS, a front end to navigate the content, etc. That’s no small amount of work, even if they used out of the box solutions for many layers.

That is just the text content, Wikipedia has pictures and videos as well. Not to mention the other Wikimedia projects
I doubt Wikimedia streams even 0.1% of what netflix does.
