Now if only they used these on the elite controllers.
Great, but they chose the absolute worst design for comfort with the PlayStation form factor. Major pass from me.
Yeah I can’t imagine why they would choose that design over the actual Xbox game pad layout.
This is such a polarizing issue.
I don’t really mind the PlayStation analog stick layout, but so many people despise it.
I was a huge fan of the Steam Controller, and still use mine often. It has a thumb stick inverse of where it would be on the Xbox, and I love it.
What is the advantage to the Xbox layout?
Well, my preferred layout is actually the WiiU Pro controller, with both sticks at the top. But the Xbox I find more comfortable because I primarily play with the left stick and face buttons.
That’s funny, I can’t stand the Xbox form factor as the sticks are super weirdly positioned. It’s my #1 problem with Xbox controllers
See I’m the opposite, I wish both sticks were in the upper position because that’s where my thumbs go naturally.
Trying to use a PS stick layout is impossible to be precise because it feels like my thumbs are always about to slip off and I have to stretch them into an unnatural 90 degree angle inward just to find the sticks.
Like are you all double jointed? Am I the only one that thinks the upper position is the logical and most ergonomic design for the human hand?
Xbox sucks cause it tried to do both, I’ll agree on that. Steam Deck got it right the first time up.
I find my hands too far apart when they’re in the upper areas tbh. My thumb has to stretch a pretty considerable amount to use the left stick on an Xbox layout.
I think it’s probably a lot to do with hand sizes too. My hands aren’t tiny, but they’re not huge either, so the stick position works pretty well for me.
I like Scuff controllers because you can choose between body styles and stick layouts, which makes it a lot easier to find what works for you.
if third parties can produce these controllers theres no excuse for first party controllers to still have the problems these controllers seem to address.
It’s cheaper for them. But that’s the only upside I can see for Microsoft. I think it’s intentional so you keep buying new controllers
Gamesir makes one with hall effect sticks and the standard Xbox stick location. Plus two buttons on the back of the controller.
When will they learn the natural placement for thumb sticks was the left one not the fucked up PS design.
At least steam deck didn’t make this dumbass mistake.
I love this form factor over the original Xbox design, I might buy this to replace my Steam Controller
The Stream Controller is great. I love playing PC games with mine.
It looks like Steam Controller but worse

Because this at least uses hall effect sensors and the 8bitdo controller doesn’t?
I’m not going to buy one because of the layout, but the reason is in the title.

Again, the bluetooth ultimate 8bitdo has Hall effect thumbsticks and triggers, but this is an Xbox community. That controller is not compatible with the Xbox series console. The one in the post is.
Well, they collabed with GuliKit to make 8Bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller with hall effect sticks…
Which isn’t compatible with Xbox consoles…
