Cyberpunk 2077 is finished, I got the “Things Done Changed” for my V. He was a star which shone too bright and was due to be snuffed out because the only way to fix what was killing him would end his career as an Edgerunner. Totally fine in my opinion because becoming a face in the crowd isn’t a curse which he is burdened with, he has a second chance to find happiness. Sure, V is not as strong as he was; now he will have to run away from gunfire instead of towards like before. He can start fresh at least and find purpose out there in Night City somewhere.

Despite that, I still wondered what would happen if V ever did get a chance to become an Edgerunner again; Get himself tangled up in dangerous biz which only a clever person could hope to extricate themselves from. The ending of this game got me thinking about how that could happen, almost interested in writing a brief or long adventure about it using the Cyberpunk TTRPG source material and Cyberpunk 2077 as inspiration. I thought of a brief scenario and shared it on Mastodon but…I don’t think I will bore anyone on here with my ideas.
